Profile of a Lifewalk Chaplain

Preliminary Requiremenets

  1. Must have reliable personal referees, that will be called and interviewed.

  2. Will be acceptable to a Board of Trustees and to the staff of a state school.

  3. Will be accountable to Lifewalk and to the school.

  1. Keen to learn and grow

  2. Warm personality and concern for others

  3. Non-judgmental

  4. Recognises and accepts the value of accountability and supervision

  5. Maintains a mature approach to and respect for students and school communities

Skills

  1. Able to listen well

Assessment and Evaluation

Upon receiving an application form, a Regional Leader will call the applicant for a phone interview to access suitability before training is offered.

Observation and assessment throughout training is also necessary to make sure applicants are the right fit for the role.
